    Who We Are
Little Egg Harbor Soap Company is a small company in the resort area of southern New Jersey.  Our studio factory store is located in Marmora in the South Shore Plaza on Route 9.  This is where we hand make, cut and wrap 800 lbs of soap each week, one
    small batch at a time.

As you may have seen on the website, we make a very large variety of scents.  We offer soaps, lotions, butters, scrubs, fizzies and bath salts in every scent.  If you don't see it on our website, please call us to order.

Soap is our main product and our ingredients include only food-grade vegetable plant oils of palm, coconut, olive, sunflower, castor and shea butter.  Even our lye (sodium hydroxide) is food grade.

We blend our soap base 500 lbs as a time.  Each oil is specific and purposeful and when combined, work together to create a luxuriously lathering, moisturizng bar we call "Dessert For Your Skin"

Scented products are created using the very finest skin-grade essential and fragrance oils available.  We scent our soap at 5%, ensuring lasting fragrance.

Colorants are Food, Drug and Cosmetic (F,D&C) Grade or skin-safe ultramarines, oxides and mica's from the earth.
No colorants are added to lotions, butters or scrubs.
Various other food ingredients are added to make each soap unique.  Included may be oatmeal, herbs, flowers and spices for exfoliating, therapeutic, texture or visual appeal.

You will find our soap will last twice as long if it is stored on a draining soap dish between uses.

Do Not let your soap sit in a puddle, as this will cause the bar to become soft and unappealing.   But all is not lost if this happens.  Your soap will re-harden once it is moved to a draining soap dish.

Different soaps offer added ingredients, but we NEVER add animal products or by-products, EVER.  You can count on us for a totally VEGAN bar of soap.

Enjoy your soap and love your skin.  It must last a lifetime!

    What We Do
Little Egg Harbor Soap Company. soaps are handmade in the kitchen, one batch at a time (take a peek at the soapmaking process!) All of the soaps are different, but the base ingredients may include olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, cocoa butter, sweet almond oil, vegetable oil, and beeswax (to ensure a hard, long- lasting bar). Various other ingredients are added to create one- of-a-kind handmade soaps that everyone can enjoy. Oatmeal is used in some bars as a gentle exfoliant, and honey moisturizes the skin. Spices such as paprika, cinnamon, and turmeric add a touch of color. Herbs and flower petals give texture, added scent, and an interesting appearance. After the soap is taken out of the mold, it is cut into bars and left to cure and harden for 4-6 weeks. Our soap can last much longer than commercial bars if used correctly - for best results it should be allowed to air dry after use. Because of the glycerin content of handmade soap, leaving the soap in a puddle of water can cause it to get soft.

    Testimonials

    Hello,
I purchased one of your products a year or two ago at the Rancocas Woods craft show. It is the Tea Tree and Lavendar Hand Salve. I don't see this product here on your web site. Do you still have this item available? I love it. It really is the best for dry, chapped winter skin.
    Thank you for your time.

    Sincerely, Sue

    Dear Sue,
Shortly we will be opening our new factory and as many customers have asked about the Salve and other products, I will be making it again in the next few months. Please check back to the site for the updates and sign up for our newsletter to keep you up to date on new products and doings.

Hi Kathy, It's been awhile but I'm back! I love all the additions & improvements you've made to your website as well as your extended selection of products! Your soaps are the best, but I'm also anxious to try some of your other product lines. How about making some sugar scrubs too? Looking forward to receiving my order and hope to see you again sometime!

I have purchased your products for myself and for friends and family as gifts. The quality of your products never fails to amaze me, and never fail to make me feel like I'm at a spa during those precious few moments I have to myself since I'm a mommy and employed full time. Your sister Char was always so pleasant at your site at Rancocas, and I will miss seeing her. Your soaps last an incredibly long time, have a fabulous fragrance, and are so gentle on the skin. Your Mommy's Belly Balm, Chest Rub, and decongestant oil are wonderful! My 11 yr old son refuses to use Vicks because it "burns", and will only use your chest rub. I just can't say enough about the quality of your soaps and other products, and spread the word constantly!!

    Sincerely, Karen Voorhees

"Hi... I met you in Cape May earlier this week and bought a couple bars of your soaps. (I'm the animal person and the Bath and Body Works shopper). I just want to let you know that I just love your soap! Right now, I'm using the grapefruit in the shower and the oatmeal soap to wash my face in the evenings.

I usually have problems with soaps drying out my skin and/or making it look very blotchy. But my skin looks and feels great, and the fragrances are very light and appealing. I wish now that I had bought a few more to bring back with me but you can be sure that I will purchase some online! Thanks!!!"

"I received some of your handmade vegetable soap as a gift. i would like to know the places where your soap is available to buy and the price per chunk. Also, the different sense you have available.

I love handmade vegetable soap and have tried many kinds, i believe yours is just fabulous ! do you make it your self or do you order it from a manufacture?"

         Beth Snook

    "Dear Soapmaker,

I feel silly calling you "soapmaker", considering your product has been in my home since early of this year. Just wanted to send you a quick note tell you how great I think your soaps are!! The smell drew me into to your shop in Stone Harbor but using the soap is what brought me back. It is wonderful! My husband and I were just down for a few days last weekend, and I once again stocked up. My husband had to laugh when he said I should really find a nice sweatshirt while we're here, and I said,"no thanks, buy me some more soap". My daughter, who is seven, stayed home this trip. During a phone call home, I informed her that I stocked up our soap supply, and the first thing she asked was if I got any Spa Bar. I think I had bought about 15 bars and that wasn't one of them, so we had to hit your shop one more time. I have my family members and some of my friends already using your soap, and everyone who tries it loves it.

The main reason for the note, though, is when we were down the lady who is in the shop most times, showed me this new scent that you're trying to get right. It looked a little scary, but it smelled awesome! It was a Christmas scent. It smelled vanilliay, but it had spearmint and peppermint in. I really wished it would have been ready to sell. If you perfect it I sure would appreciate an e-mail so that I can order some.

Just thought you should know how much we all really enjoy your product. Keep on making new scents!!"

         Penny Hemsley

    P.S. Buttercup is fabulous!!!!

"I came to the shop a few weeks ago and you gave me and my family a trial of that face cleanser which can also be used as a mask...I absolutely loved it! It made my skin so soft! What is the name of the website so I can order some of it?"

         Thanks so much! Meghan McNamara
